I WOULD LIKE TO ORDER A CBD COCKTAIL

Millers All Day has a new cocktail on the menu, and it's got an ingredient you won't find that often. The Green Dragon is made with pisco, midori, lemon, cucumber, egg white, and — CBD oil. Using CBD oil from the local Charleston Hemp Company, it is the first of a possible line of concoctions that will feature CBD oil.

Millers introduces the cocktail during a special pop-up happy hour on Wed. Nov. 7 from 5-8 p.m. where Charleston Hemp Company will discuss their product.

In a press release, the CBD cocktail is described as giving drinkers "feelings of relaxation and calm." It is derived from the cannabis family, but does not contain THC, the psychoactive component of the marijuana plant. CBD is legal for sale and consumption across the entire U.S.

  2. CBD EDIBLES PROVIDE LONG-LASTING RELIEF

    CBD Eddibles

CBD edibles have several benefits over smoking cannabis or inhaling a CBD vapor pen.

While it takes a while for CBD edibles to take effect (between 30 minutes to two hours), the result is relief that lasts longer than inhalation.

In a CBD edible, the active compound is combined with other foodstuffs.

This means that the CBD is released slowly over long periods of time as food is digested.

The result is a long-lasting CBD experience.

In fact, CBD edibles can last between two and four hours longer than inhaled CBD.

  5. IS DELTA-8 JUST CBD?

    Delta 8 Just CBD

    The short answer?

    No.

Delta-8 THC and CBD are two entirely different cannabinoids (compounds derived from cannabis).

In some instances, but not all, Delta-8 THC is synthesized from CBD. But that’s about as close as it gets.

(WhiteCBD only uses Delta-8 THC naturally extracted from hemp and not converted from CBD)

Currently, the legality of delta-8 is hazy. It can be extracted from either hemp or cannabis. Because of the 2018 farm bill, hemp can be legally grown and used for extractions all over the United States, making delta-8 legal in states where delta-9 THC is illegal—sometimes.

    CBD CAN HELP WITH SLEEP

CBD has the ability to reduce anxiety, which can be helpful in reducing sleep difficulties and improving sleep quality. CBD may increase overall sleep amounts, and improve insomnia, according to research. CBD has been shown to reduce insomnia in people who suffer from chronic pain.

In smaller doses, CBD stimulates alertness and reduces daytime sleepiness, which is important for daytime performance and for the strength and consistency of the sleep-wake cycle.

REM behavior disorder is a condition that causes people to act out physically during dreaming and REM sleep. Typically, during REM, the body is largely paralyzed, a state known as REM atonia.
